2026 review

A.J. Ewing was a first-year center fielder who hit .252/.324/.376 with 11 HR, 25 SB and a 25.4 K% and a 9.3 BB% over 492 PA for NYM across 120 games. His contract was selected May 12, and his playing time climbed from 19 games and 74 PA in May to 27 games and 117 PA in Aug before settling at 23 games and 92 PA in Sep. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 459, taken in 11 of 674 drafts, he finished 179th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 134th of 660 hitters, and 14th of 70 center fielders. His best month was Sep at .309 over 81 AB against just .171 over 105 AB in Aug, and the TDK LABS card traced that swing: an immediate debut line on his first night in mid-May, then an explosive Sep with speed and power emerging, and by Sep 27 a regular with contact rates matching expectations.
