Aaron BummerATL · KCR · RP

2026 review

Aaron Bummer was a struggling reliever passed between clubs, posting a 10.26 ERA and 2.10 WHIP in 16.2 IP with a 14.8 K% and a 12.5 BB% over 88 BF across 21 games for ATL and KCR, with 5 HLD but 7 HR allowed. ATL released him May 19, and after signing a minor league contract with CHC on Jun 1 he landed with KCR on Jul 21, got his contract selected Aug 2, and was optioned again Aug 7. Undrafted in NFBC drafts, he finished 1134th of 1472 overall in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 732nd of 811 pitchers, and 549th of 575 relievers. The TDK LABS card had already called the ATL role dead by May 20, then by Aug 5 was watching his usage after a minor-league deal to see if a bullpen role would clarify, and by Aug 16 it was noting command issues in his early appearances.
