Alejandro KirkTOR · C

2026 review

Alejandro Kirk was a contact-first catcher who missed most of the first half but hit at a steady clip once back. He batted .278/.351/.415 over 277 AB and 313 PA for TOR with 10 HR. His 12.1 K% over 313 PA was the 16th lowest of 267 hitters with 300+ PA. A left thumb fracture put him on the 10-day IL Apr 4, later transferred to the 60-day IL May 27, and after rehab assignments Jun 3 and Jun 9 he was activated Jun 12, missing 69 regular-season days. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 155, he finished 439th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 284 spots below, and 19th of 103 catchers. His .333 wOBA ran 25 points above his .308 xwOBA over 313 PA. The TDK LABS card charted the recovery from a throwing program in early May, to progress on the thumb by early Jul, to a hot stretch resting on thin volume in early Aug, and by late Sep it had him as a steady offensive catcher.
