2026 review

Alejandro Osuna was an up-and-down outfielder who hit for average in flashes but never for power, batting .260/.349/.304 over 233 PA with 1 HR and 5 SB across 84 games for TEX. He was optioned and recalled repeatedly through the year, first optioned Mar 23, recalled Apr 22, optioned Jun 4, recalled Jun 14, optioned Aug 9, and recalled again Sep 14, with his starts dropping off from 46 of 52 games in Mar-Jun to 15 of 32 in Jul-Sep. Undrafted in most NFBC drafts (taken in only 252 of 674), he finished 903rd of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank and 41st of 93 left fielders. The TDK LABS card described a strong-side platoon in early May, with Osuna sitting against left-handers, then by mid-Sep it was calling him a recall brought back for September depth with little big-league time behind him, and by late Sep it had him as a fill-in outfielder stuck in a cold stretch at the plate.
