Alex Bregman anchored third base for the Cubs all year, hitting .265/.355/.464 with a 14.5 K% and 10.8 BB% over 702 PA, adding 28 HR, 92 R and 93 RBI across 155 games and 154 starts. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 115, he finished 38th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 77 spots above, and 3rd of 67 third basemen. His .357 wOBA ran 30 points above his .327 xwOBA over 702 PA, and his best month was Sep at .319 over 69 AB against just .200 over 90 AB in Jun. The TDK LABS card tracked a bumpy stretch: in early May it had him cleared to play through toe soreness after a rare bench day broke a 29-start run, by early Aug it was noting a hot streak with the power looking familiar even as the underlying numbers trailed it, and by early Sep it flagged a power surge lifting the profile while the workload kept climbing.
