MIN designated him for assignment and outrighted him Mar 25, selected his contract May 19, then ran the same cycle again in Aug - DFA Aug 14, outrighted Aug 16, selected Aug 17 - before designating him for assignment once more Sep 21 and outrighting him Sep 23. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 797, he finished 1203rd of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, and 58th of 103 catchers. The TDK LABS card followed him as org depth throughout: in late May it had him up as a journeyman fill-in fit only for the deepest formats, and by late Aug it still read him as short-term catcher depth with little long-term protection behind it. By late Sep the card noted how thin the sample behind his batting line was.
