2026 review
Alex Lange had a rough year out of the KCR bullpen: a 6.75 ERA and 1.63 WHIP in 60.0 IP, with a 21.8 K% and a 12.0 BB% over 275 BF across 59 games, all in relief, going 2-7 with 10 SV, 3 HLD and 3 BS. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 591, he finished 1222nd of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 765th of 811 pitchers, and 562nd of 575 relievers. His 6.75 ERA ran 1.31 above his 5.44 xERA over 275 BF. Against right-handed batters he allowed a .206/.331/.412 line over 121 PA, against left-handed batters a .328/.413/.575 line over 155 PA. He posted a 2.38 ERA in 11.1 IP in May and a 7.11 ERA in 12.2 IP in Apr. The TDK LABS card had him holding the closer role through late Jul despite a volatile stretch, but by early Aug his form had slipped enough that the role passed to another reliever after a blown save, and by late Sep it described him as a reliever in a fluid Kansas City pen.
