2026 review
Alika Williams was a utility infielder whose bat ran well ahead of his contact quality: traded to ATH on May 16, he hit .270/.307/.428 with a 21.6 K% and a 4.3 BB% over 231 PA across 88 games and 60 starts, adding 20 2B, 4 HR and 2 SB. ATH optioned him Jun 21 and recalled him Jun 25, and his usage climbed from 9 games and 10 PA in May to 20 games and 63 PA by Sep. Undrafted in NFBC drafts, he finished 935th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 330th of 660 hitters, and 38th of 61 shortstops. His .319 wOBA ran 71 points above his .248 xwOBA over 231 PA. The TDK LABS card tracked that gap as it opened: in late May it read him as utility depth with minimal fantasy footprint and a dead power window, by late Jun it noted his recall to the active roster, and by early Sep it flagged a bench platoon shortstop on a hot run built on outsized batting-average results against lefties, with caution warranted on how extreme it looked. By Sep 27 the card had him day-to-day with upper-body soreness after several recent scratches.
