Andrew Benintendi was a steady-enough DH who hit for pop but not much average: he went .240/.302/.413 with a 23.9 K% and an 8.3 BB% over 468 PA for CHW, adding 15 HR, 78 RBI and 101 H across 141 games. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 404, he finished 190th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 214 spots above, and 10th of 46 designated hitters. His best month was Jun at .284 over 67 AB against a worst month of .203 over 79 AB in Apr. The TDK LABS card followed the swings: an early-May platoon sit against Kikuchi drew a no-action tag, by early Aug it was calling him a volume play swinging hot with contact rate steady and the power finally emerging, and by late Sep it had shifted to a platoon role against righties with a recent slump cooling a formerly consistent bat.
