2026 review

Andrew Knizner spent the year without a spot before catching on with SFG in August. Over 29 games and 21 starts he posted a .219 AVG, a .287 OBP, a .356 SLG, a 17.5 K% and a 5.0 BB% over 80 PA, with 2 HR and 4 RBI. SEA designated him for assignment on Mar 24 and released him Mar 25, he signed minor league contracts with COL on Apr 1 and BOS on Jun 23, then signed as a free agent with SFG on Aug 11, debuting Aug 12 and playing his last game Sep 26. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 783, he finished 1281st of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank and 72nd of 103 catchers. In mid-Aug the TDK LABS card read him as a depth signing with intriguing power but a limited role; by late Aug it had him as a streaky backup with sporadic at-bats; by mid-Sep it had him cold in a narrow playing-time window; and by late Sep it had him facing tough lefties in a tight platoon.
