Andruw Monasterio was a BOS infielder who played his way into near-everyday work in the second half without the bat following: he hit .233/.295/.371 over 313 AB, with 23 2B, 6 HR, 35 R, 43 RBI and 4 SB, and a 19.6 K% and 7.5 BB% over 347 PA. He started 29 of 50 games in Mar-Jun and 49 of 57 in Jul-Sep. Taken in 271 of 674 drafts at NFBC ADP rank 1245, he finished 580th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank and 32nd of 61 shortstops. He did his damage against left-handed pitching, .233/.315/.457 over 130 PA, against right-handers .234/.282/.320 over 217 PA. Jul was his best month at .338 over 65 AB and Aug his worst at .228 over 92 AB even as the starts peaked. The TDK LABS card moved with him too: in early Jul it had him a frequently benched platoon piece in a crowded infield, by mid-Jul a utility infielder in a clear surge, and by late Sep a bench infielder in a deep slump with a shrinking role.
