Ángel ZerpaMIL · RP

2026 review

Ángel Zerpa was a middling reliever whose season ended early: across 12 games he posted a 6.39 ERA and a 1.74 WHIP in 12.2 IP for MIL, with a 14.5 K% and a 10.9 BB% over 55 BF, working to 2 SV and 2 HLD against 3 BS. His last game came Apr 25, and on Apr 29 he went on the 15-day IL retroactive to Apr 26 for left forearm tightness, then was transferred to the 60-day IL on May 31 with no activation on record through Sep 27, missing 154 regular-season days. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 1042, he finished 853rd of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank and 416th of 575 relievers. The TDK LABS card tracked the injury's arc: by May 6 it had surgery on the table for the forearm, by May 19 it had season-ending surgery confirmed, and by late Jun it had him on the 60-day IL after a reconstructive procedure with recovery bleeding into the following season.
