A left knee patellar tendinopathy sent him to the 10-day IL retroactive to Mar 22, and after a rehab assignment he was activated Apr 10 before being optioned; he was recalled and optioned through the summer (Jun 3, Jun 9, Jun 20, Aug 30, Sep 11) and placed on the 10-day IL Sep 13 with right wrist inflammation, missing 30 regular-season days in 2 stints. Undrafted, he finished 1097th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 380th of 660 hitters and 46th of 75 second basemen. He saw 44 PA in 13 games in Jun, 83 PA in 20 games in Jul, and 2 PA in 1 game in Sep. The TDK LABS card read him in early Jun as a depth recall filling an injured-list vacancy with a backup profile, then by late Aug had him as a bench reserve making sporadic starts while noting a hot stretch with strong contact and plate discipline, and by late Sep had him back on the 10-day IL with wrist inflammation.
