Austin Riley played every day at third base for ATL and the contact never came around: he hit .219/.364 with a .290 OBP over 630 PA and 566 AB, with 19 HR, 64 R, 72 RBI and 9 SB across 159 games, and the strikeouts were the story. His 31.9 K% over 630 PA was the 10th highest of 267 hitters with 300+ PA, and his 7.6 BB% over that same sample did not offset it. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 70, he finished 184th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 114 spots below, and 18th of 67 third basemen. The workload stayed steady all year, 115 PA in Apr and 111 in May down to 88 PA in Sep. The TDK LABS card tracked the swings in his year, a cold spell snapped in early May, a slump noted in late Jun, then recent output working against it by mid-Jul and a cold stretch again by late Sep.
