Beau BrieskeDET · RP

2026 review

Beau Brieske threw 25.1 IP over 18 games out of the Detroit bullpen, all in relief, posting a 4.97 ERA and 1.18 WHIP with a 23.5 K% and a 6.9 BB% over 102 BF, plus 1 W and 1 HLD. He opened the season on the 60-day IL Mar 23 for a left adductor strain, took rehab assignments May 5 and May 12, and was activated May 29 before he was optioned and recalled several times, on Jun 12, Jul 1, Jul 18 and Sep 1 — missing 65 regular-season days in that opening stint. Undrafted in NFBC drafts, he finished 679th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank and 296th of 575 RP. His 4.97 ERA ran 1.16 above his 3.81 xERA over 102 BF, and his 40.8 Hard% over 71 BBE was the 26th highest of 517 pitchers with 100+ BF. The TDK LABS card had him back on the active roster in a middle-relief role without much leverage in Detroit's bullpen by mid-Sep, and by late Sep was pointing to a new curveball and a changed fastball shape as the notable adjustments.
