He posted a 4.11 ERA and a 1.11 WHIP in 15.1 IP across 16 games, converting 5 saves with 2 holds and 3 blown saves, with 18 SO and 9 BB. He was placed on the 15-day IL Mar 23, retroactive to Mar 22, for right shoulder inflammation, took rehab assignments Apr 29, Jul 7, and Jul 23, and was activated from the 60-day IL Aug 4, missing 138 regular-season days in 2 stints; he went back on the 15-day IL Sep 24, retroactive to Sep 21, for right shoulder impingement. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 1067, he finished 485th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 582 spots above, 234th of 811 pitchers, and 160th of 575 relievers. By early Aug the TDK LABS card had him just back with elite velocity restored; by mid Aug it had him gaining momentum toward a committee role in the closer mix behind multiple recent saves; by late Sep it had him back on the injured list with a shoulder impingement.
