He was placed on the 15-day IL Mar 25 with a left oblique strain, took rehab assignments, and was activated Apr 25; placed on the 15-day IL again May 9 (retroactive to May 6) for left elbow inflammation, transferred to the 60-day IL Jul 3, took rehab assignments, and was activated Jul 20, missing 106 regular-season days. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 764, a rare pick taken in 9 of 674 drafts, he finished 1083rd of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank and 535th of 575 relievers. His 32.3 CSW% and 14.4 SwStr% over 533 pitches were the 16th and 40th highest of 517 pitchers with 100+ BF. His 6.00 ERA ran 1.85 above his 4.15 xERA over 141 BF. By early May the TDK LABS card read him as a matchup lefty with no leverage role; by early Sep it had him picking up holds in a matchup-driven pen, before calling him a middle reliever with shaky control after a blown save.
