Blade TidwellSFG · SP

2026 review

Blade Tidwell spent the year bouncing between roles and levels: in 56.2 IP over 17 games and 9 GS for SFG he posted a 4.45 ERA and a 1.18 WHIP, with a 19.6 K% and an 8.9 BB% over 235 BF, picking up 1 W, 2 L and a save. He shuttled between the majors and the minors on Mar 16, Apr 2, Apr 29 and Aug 3, then a right UCL sprain put him on the 15-day IL Sep 22 before he was transferred to the 60-day IL Sep 24, missing 5 regular-season days with no activation on record through Sep 27. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 1138, he finished 746th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 456th of 811 pitchers, and 112th of 236 players at SP. Once he moved from reliever to starter on Aug 4, his results slipped in the rotation, a 4.84 ERA in 44.2 IP as a starter after a 3.00 ERA in 12.0 IP as a reliever, with 9 GS in 9 games after 0 GS in 8 games. Against right-handed batters he held them to .167/.212/.229 over 104 PA, against left-handed batters .273/.389/.491 over 131 PA. By Aug 4 the card had him back in the rotation off a strong run with well-regarded raw stuff, and by Sep 1 it was noting inconsistent command alongside those results.
