Blake Perkins had a rough year at the plate that never got going: he hit .157/.250/.258 with a 21.8 K% and a 9.9 BB% over 101 PA across 55 games and 23 starts for MIL, with 1 HR, 3 SB and 14 R. He was optioned Mar 19 and recalled Mar 26, optioned again May 4 and recalled May 9, optioned Jul 7 and recalled Jul 18, then optioned once more Aug 1. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 1081, he finished 1233rd of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 467th of 660 hitters, and 55th of 70 center fielders. His .236 wOBA ran 28 points below his .264 xwOBA over 101 PA. The TDK LABS card tracked the slide: optioned to the minors in early May as others returned to the roster, the bat read as dead by late May, and by early Jun it had him as a switch-hitting platoon piece with the contact quality bottomed out; by early Aug it read him as a bench outfielder on a crowded roster.
