2026 review

Blake Treinen missed bats and ran a low ERA despite shakier underlying contact, a 3.64 ERA and 1.42 WHIP in 29.2 IP with a 23.8 K% and a 10.0 BB% over 130 BF for LAD across 36 games, picking up 1 SV and 6 HLD. He went on the 15-day IL Jun 20 for right elbow inflammation, was transferred to the 60-day IL Aug 11, took rehab assignments Aug 15 and Aug 18, and was activated Sep 2 after missing 74 regular-season days, before landing back on the 15-day IL Sep 27 for right shoulder inflammation. Drafted at ADP rank 928 in just 42 of 674 drafts, he finished 487th of 1472 overall and 235th of 811 pitchers in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, and 161st of 575 relievers. His 3.64 ERA ran 1.45 below his 5.09 xERA over 130 BF. In early May the TDK LABS card described the Dodgers' save chances as split among several arms including him, thinning any one reliever's share; by early Sep it had him back from elbow rehab throwing clean innings but entering a crowded closer picture with his role still undefined.
