2026 review

Bo Bichette was an everyday third baseman whose surface numbers lagged his contact all year: .260/.312/.390 with an 18.2 K% and a 7.0 BB% over 696 PA for NYM, adding 18 HR, 76 R and 78 RBI across 160 games. He signed as a free agent on Jan 20 and played out the full season from Mar 26 through Sep 27. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 94, he finished 107th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 13 spots below, and 12th of 67 third basemen. His .309 wOBA ran 21 points below his .330 xwOBA over 696 PA, and his best month was Jun at .321 over 109 AB against .207 over 111 AB in May. The TDK LABS card tracked that gap the whole way: in early May it framed the slump as one to ride through rather than bail on, by late Jun it had the big-money signing finally clicking with results still lagging the underlying performance, and by late Sep it was still reading the metrics as ahead of the actual production despite the recent stretch.
