2026 review
Brandon Pfaadt was a control-first starter for ARI, keeping the walks down but getting hit harder by left-handed batters than right-handed ones. He worked 29 games with 19 starts, striking out 94 against 32 BB, with a 3.77 ERA and 1.18 WHIP in 136.0 IP, plus a 16.7 K% and a 5.7 BB% over 562 BF, going 8-3. ARI optioned him Jun 4 and recalled him Jun 30. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 377, he finished 429th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 52 spots below his ADP rank, and 66th of 236 starting pitchers. His 5.7 BB% over 562 BF was the 47th lowest of 517 pitchers with 100+ BF. Opposing hitters managed just .233/.280/.318 over 261 PA against him from the right side but .262/.313/.440 over 301 PA from the left. He was sharpest in Jul, a 1.88 ERA in 28.2 IP, and roughest in May, a 5.40 ERA in 10.0 IP. The TDK LABS card had him in strong recent form by mid-Aug, and by late Sep it had him earning a win with an extended outing.
