Brandon SproatMIL · SP
2026 review
Brandon Sproat was a rotation arm for MIL who missed bats but also the strike zone and the barrel, and the results never caught up to the raw stuff. He went 3-7 with a 5.57 ERA and 1.44 WHIP in 97.0 IP across 22 games and 19 starts, striking out a 23.9 K% and walking a 12.3 BB% over 422 BF, with 17 HR allowed. He was optioned Aug 4, recalled Sep 7, and optioned again Sep 10. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 434, he finished 1289th of 1472 overall in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 855 spots below his ADP rank, and 781st of 811 pitchers and 211th of 236 starting pitchers. His 5.57 ERA ran 0.55 above his 5.02 xERA over 422 BF. The TDK LABS card followed the gap between stuff and results: by mid-Jun it read his stuff and velocity as strong while the ERA and expected numbers still looked ugly, by Jun 19 it noted him day-to-day with cramps after an early exit, and by early Sep it had him back with a rotation spot open, still flagging his command as inconsistent.
