2026 review

Brent Rooker gave ATH power when he played, but he barely played: 10 HR in 48 games, and a .200/.281/.389 line with a 32.0 K% and a 9.4 BB% over 203 PA. An oblique strain put him on the 10-day IL on Apr 10 before he was activated Apr 26, then a bone bruise in his left knee sent him back to the 10-day IL on Jun 12, retroactive to Jun 9, and he was transferred to the 60-day IL on Jul 17 with no activation on record through Sep 27, so he missed 126 regular-season days in 2 stints. His last game came Jun 8. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 49, he finished 971st of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 922 spots below, and 26th of 46 designated hitters. His .294 wOBA ran 18 points below his .312 xwOBA over 202 PA. From early Aug on, the TDK LABS card had him on the 60-day IL, and by late Sep it was still describing a knee injury and a hitting progression rather than a bat in the lineup.
