2026 review
Brett Harris was a corner infielder who barely got to play, and when he did the bat did not come with him: .136/.240/.182 with a 31.4 K% and a 5.9 BB% over 51 PA across 21 games and 12 starts for ATH, BOS and SFG. A left oblique strain cost him 94 regular-season days on the 10-day IL, and around it he was optioned Mar 9, recalled Apr 28, optioned again May 12, then designated for assignment Jun 27. ATH traded him to BOS on Jul 1, where he was recalled Jul 9 and optioned Jul 11, then designated for assignment Sep 1 and claimed off waivers by SFG on Sep 3, optioned that same day and recalled Sep 8. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 654, he finished 1430th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 640th of 660 hitters and 63rd of 65 first basemen. The at-bats only arrived at the end: 6 PA in 5 games in May, 3 PA in 1 game in Jul, then 42 PA over 15 games in Sep. The TDK LABS card tracked that path, describing him in early May as a recalled infielder caught in a crowded third-base rotation, by mid-Sep as a utility infielder with little big-league work, and by late Sep as a bench corner bat finally getting steady playing time with a teammate out.
