2026 review

Brian Serven was a part-time catcher who hit .175/.224/.375 with a 24.7 K% and a 4.7 BB% over 85 PA for ATH, adding 5 HR across 29 games and 23 starts. His contract was selected Jul 4, and he was optioned Jul 7, recalled Jul 11, optioned again Jul 15, and recalled Jul 26, playing from Jul 5 through Sep 27. Undrafted in NFBC drafts, he finished 1214th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank and 59th of 103 catchers. The TDK LABS card had him as a backup catcher summoned to the roster in early Jul, then by late Jul noted a first homer since returning with a catching role opening up, before settling by late Sep on him as a fourth-line catcher behind a higher-pedigree incumbent.
