His contract was selected Aug 14, and after his last game Sep 22 he landed on the 10-day IL Sep 24, retroactive to Sep 23, with left patella tendon inflammation, missing 4 regular-season days with no activation on record through Sep 27. Undrafted in NFBC drafts, he finished 1326th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank and 54th of 67 third basemen. The TDK LABS card had him as a trust-conditionally matchup play just after his callup in mid Aug, the everyday shortstop by late Aug, and benched after an extended slump by early Sep, before noting the patella tendon inflammation as Sep closed out.
