Bryan Torres was an up-and-down outfielder who got his shot and hit for modest power without much average to show for it. He batted .229/.309/.331 with a 20.6 K% and a 9.5 BB% over 189 PA across 74 games and 48 starts for STL, with 4 HR, 19 RBI and 2 SB, optioned Mar 7 and recalled May 22, his playing time climbing from 24 PA in May to 51 PA in Aug before dropping to 49 PA in Sep. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 992, he finished 1102nd of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, and 49th of 93 left fielders. The TDK LABS card followed his year end to end: in late May it marked his long-awaited debut and first homer, by late Jun and again in mid Jul it noted him scratched without an explanation given, and by late Sep it had him as a bench outfielder whose at-bats came and went unpredictably and had just fallen off hard.
