2026 review
Bryse Wilson was a strike-thrower who got hit hard: a 4.33 ERA and 1.33 WHIP in 35.1 IP, with a 20.5 K% and a 2.0 BB% over 151 BF across 16 games for PHI, CHC and MIL. Signed to a minor league contract by PHI Jun 5, his contract was selected Jun 18, and he was designated for assignment Jun 22, claimed by CHC Jun 24, designated for assignment again Jul 4, outrighted, then signed as a free agent by MIL Jul 10. Another DFA and outright with MIL in Aug preceded a re-signing Aug 11, and a 15-day IL trip Aug 31 for a low back strain kept him out until he was activated Sep 25, missing 25 regular-season days. Undrafted in NFBC drafts, he finished 824th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank and 397th of 575 relievers. His 2.0 BB% over 151 BF was the 1st lowest of 517 pitchers with 100+ BF, but his 41.7 Hard% over 115 BBE was the 18th highest of that same pool. His best month was Aug, a 1.93 ERA in 14.0 IP. His worst was Jul, a 7.07 ERA in 14.0 IP. The TDK LABS card flagged the Jun callup as bullpen protection, and by late Sep had him effective in a limited return off the IL.
