Calvin Faucher was a high-volume reliever whose year swung game to game: across 69 games for MIA he posted a 3.56 ERA and 1.32 WHIP in 68.1 IP, with a 24.8 K% and 12.6 BB% over 294 BF, 5 W, 5 L, 3 SV, 19 HLD and 6 BS. He handled right-handed batters well at .149/.293/.168 over 123 PA, but left-handers hit him for .255/.341/.336 over 171 PA. His best month was Aug at a 0.82 ERA in 11.0 IP, a sharp turn from an 8.25 ERA in 12.0 IP in Jul. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 932, he finished 427th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 505 spots above, and 124th of 575 relievers. The TDK LABS card tracked a role in flux all year: by early May it had him as a risky-tier closer in a pure committee, and by late Sep it still had him sharing the ninth inning in a fluid pen, landing on him as a co-closer within that shifting committee.
