2026 review

Cam Booser was a bullpen arm who barely missed the strike zone, working 42 games out of the Tampa Bay pen to a 1.98 ERA and 0.76 WHIP in 41.0 IP, with a 29.6 K% and a 3.9 BB% over 152 BF, adding 5 HR allowed against 9 ER, 1 W, 13 HLD and 1 BS. His 3.9 BB% over 152 BF was the 4th lowest of 517 pitchers with 100+ BF. He signed a minor league contract Jan 26, had his contract selected and was optioned the same day Mar 25, then was recalled May 31 and ran from his first game Jun 2 through his last Sep 26. Undrafted in NFBC drafts, he finished 267th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank and 48th of 575 relief pitchers. His 1.98 ERA ran 0.66 below his 2.64 xERA over 152 BF. The TDK LABS card tracked him climbing the pen: in early Jun it flagged the recall into a thinned-out Tampa bullpen as churn worth watching, by late Jul it still had him as a low-leverage middle man with no save or hold path, and by late Sep it had him as a top lefty setup arm running a steady holds-adjacent role.
