2026 review

Cam Cauley was a fringe bat who barely stuck: across 34 games and 15 starts he hit .207/.281/.345 in 58 AB and a 23.1 K% and a 7.7 BB% over 65 PA, adding 1 HR and 1 SB. TEX selected his contract Jun 29, optioned him Aug 14, recalled him Sep 1, optioned him again Sep 14, and recalled him once more Sep 27. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 743, he finished 1293rd of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, and 60th of 75 second basemen. The TDK LABS card followed a rough debut all season, still calling the playing time and power speculative by Sep 2, noting a difficult stretch Sep 8, flagging his first stolen base as a pinch runner Sep 11, and by Sep 27 still describing him as coming off a shaky opening stint without much recent action.
