Cam Smith played a full season in right field for Houston, appearing in 157 games with 139 starts and hitting .210 and slugging .390 in 510 AB, with a .279 OBP, a 26.1 K% and a 7.7 BB% over 568 PA, adding 21 HR, 12 SB, 67 R and 56 RBI. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 318, taken in 628 of 674 drafts, he finished 204th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 114 spots above his ADP rank, 148th of 660 hitters and 17th of 79 right fielders. His .293 wOBA ran 23 points below his .316 xwOBA over 568 PA. He hit best in Aug at .250 over 76 AB and worst in Jul at .143 over 70 AB. The TDK LABS card tracked the arc through the season: by early May it had his barrel rate doubling year over year even as the results lagged behind it, and by late Sep it had him as a rookie cooling off after an earlier promising stretch.
