2026 review

Camilo Doval worked as a swing-armed reliever who missed bats but let too many people on, finishing with a 24.2 K% but a 12.1 BB% over 273 BF and a 4.15 ERA and 1.48 WHIP in 60.2 IP across 66 games, with 3 W, 2 L, 1 SV, 8 HLD and 5 BS. He moved from NYY to PIT between Jul 29 and Aug 2, then was designated for assignment by PIT on Sep 22 and claimed off waivers by SFG on Sep 24. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 879, he finished 876th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 3 spots above his ADP rank, and 432nd of 575 relief pitchers. His 4.15 ERA ran 0.39 above his 3.76 xERA over 273 BF, and right-handed hitters managed just .183/.295/.294 over 133 PA against him while left-handed hitters hit .306/.380/.455 over 142 PA. The TDK LABS card soured on him by early May after a blown save in what it called an awful start, and by late Sep it had him sliding toward middle relief after the trip through the waiver wire.
