2026 review
Carlos Correa was a shortstop whose year ended in pieces: he hit .279/.369/.418 with an 18.4 K% and a 12.8 BB% over 141 PA for HOU, adding 8 2B and 3 HR across 32 games before a left ankle tendon injury ended his season. He was placed on the 10-day IL May 6, retroactive to May 5, then transferred to the 60-day IL Jun 2, missing 145 regular-season days with no activation on record through Sep 27. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 266, he finished 1040th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 774 spots below, and 41st of 61 shortstops. His .347 wOBA ran 17 points below his .364 xwOBA over 141 PA. The TDK LABS card called it a season-ending tear by May 8, then by mid-September had him on the 60-day IL after ankle surgery working through baseball activities, before closing out by Sep 27 noting the ankle had kept him out for good despite the earlier hopes of a return.
