Carson Benge put together a strong rookie season with power and speed working together: he hit .282 with a .346 OBP and a .430 SLG, adding 20 HR, 22 SB and 5 CS, with a 21.7 K% and a 7.6 BB% over 654 PA in 595 AB across 156 games for NYM after his contract was selected Mar 25. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 340, he finished 39th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 301 spots above his ADP rank, and 4th of 79 right fielders. He hit .317 over 101 AB in Aug, his best month, against .192 over 73 AB in Apr, his worst. The TDK LABS card tracked the climb: in early May it had him filling in as an everyday outfielder and already bookmarked as a top-prospect bet; by late Aug it was pointing to his power and speed showing up together with strong contact and lineup protection behind him; by late Sep it had him finishing his first big-league season with power and speed numbers among the best a rookie had produced in one year.
