2026 review

Chase DeLauter was a strong-contact right fielder who turned his rookie season into a value beater: he hit .287/.363/.457 in 495 AB with a 14.7 K% and a 10.7 BB% over 559 PA for CLE, adding 16 HR and 11 SB. A right side rib fracture sent him to the 10-day IL on Jun 17, retroactive to Jun 14, and he was activated Jun 28 after missing 14 regular-season days. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 292, he finished 98th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 194 spots above, and 10th of 79 right fielders. His .359 wOBA ran 13 points above his .346 xwOBA over 559 PA, and he hit better after the injury than before it, .263 over 240 AB before the stint against .310 over 255 AB after. His best month was Aug at .362 over 80 AB, his worst Sep at .250 over 68 AB. The TDK LABS card tracked him rising the whole way: an elite-metrics hit streak in early May, a rookie contact star at his peak by late Jul, and by late Sep an elite-contact everyday outfielder whose high-teens power and plate discipline had become a cornerstone of his profile.
