2026 review

Chris Martin was a middle reliever who spent most of the year on the injured list: he posted a 9.00 ERA and 1.93 WHIP in 14.0 IP over 16 games for TEX, with a 13.6 K% and a 3.0 BB% over 66 BF, going 1-1 with 1 HLD and 2 BS. A right shoulder impingement sent him to the 15-day IL on Apr 15, Jun 1, and Jul 12, and he missed 90 regular-season days across those stints before TEX designated him for assignment Aug 3 and released him Aug 8. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 1010, he finished 1011th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 1 spot below his ADP rank, and 504th of 575 relief pitchers. In mid-May the TDK LABS card had him on a rehab assignment with his bullpen role still unsettled, and by mid-August it was describing him as released after a brief return from the injured list.
