2026 review

Christian Koss was a shortstop who got a long look late but never got the bat going: he hit .217/.257/.305 with a 26.7 K% and a 4.1 BB% over 221 PA for SFG, adding 44 H, 4 HR, 27 R, 12 RBI and 5 SB in 70 games and 59 starts. He was optioned May 15 and recalled Jul 1, and the playing time arrived after that, 26 PA in Jul, then 93 PA in Aug and 87 PA in Sep. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 798, he finished 1080th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, and 46th of 61 shortstops. His .251 wOBA ran 16 points above his .235 xwOBA over 221 PA. The TDK LABS card had little to say on him in early May, by late Jul it had him filling in at third base, and by late Sep it had him as the everyday shortstop working through a cold stretch.
