2026 review
CJ Abrams was an everyday shortstop who delivered across the board, hitting .261/.336/.497 with a 24.2 K% and an 8.7 BB% over 654 PA for WSN, with 33 HR, 106 RBI and 34 SB across 152 games and 150 starts. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 57, he finished 5th of 1472 overall in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 52 spots above, and 3rd of 660 hitters, 1st of 61 shortstops. His .358 wOBA ran 25 points above his .333 xwOBA over 654 PA. He hit right-handers much better, .271/.361/.521 over 449 PA, against .238/.280/.446 over 207 PA facing left-handers, and his best month was Jul at .348 over 89 AB against just .173 over 98 AB in Aug. The TDK LABS card followed the swings: hot in early May after snapping a cold stretch with a multi-hit game and a late-inning homer, cooling into a power drought by mid Aug while a position shift to second base was floated to add value, still leaning heavily on his production against right-handers later that month, and by late Sep settling on him as a confirmed leadoff option with strong contact and power numbers.
