CJ Van EykTOR · RP

2026 review

CJ Van Eyk was a depth arm who never settled into a fixed role: across 5 games and 1 GS he posted a 5.40 ERA and 1.46 WHIP in 11.2 IP for TOR, with a 5.5 K% and a 3.6 BB% over 55 BF. He shuttled between the majors and the minors all season, his contract selected Jul 12 and then optioned and recalled repeatedly through Jul 18, Jul 22, Jul 29, Aug 28, Aug 31, Sep 23 and Sep 25, working 5.2 IP over 3 games in Jul, 1.0 IP in Aug and 5.0 IP in Sep. Undrafted, he finished 786th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 490th of 811 pitchers and 371st of 575 relievers. The TDK LABS card tracked him as replaceable depth throughout: a multi-inning arm with below-average stuff in late Jul, long relief depth after a brief stint in the majors by late Aug, and by late Sep still just a bullpen depth arm brought back for the roster.
