2026 review

Colby Thomas was a prospect bat who struggled to find his footing, hitting .202/.235/.333 with a 30.6 K% and a 3.3 BB% over 121 PA for the Athletics, with 4 HR and 11 RBI across 55 games. He was optioned Mar 21, recalled Apr 22, optioned again Jul 31, then traded from ATH to PHI on Aug 3. Drafted in most drafts at NFBC ADP rank 1149, he finished 1211th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 62 spots below his ADP rank, and 449th of 660 hitters, 57th of 79 right fielders. The TDK LABS card traced a player who never got going: a first homer opened a pathway in early May despite a brutal week, but by mid Jun the read had hardened into a strict platoon with little against right-handers, and by late Jul, back in the lineup, the contact was still described as ice-cold.
