Cole Carrigg came up and immediately flashed the tools: .279/.341/.477 with a 23.9 K% and a 7.5 BB% over 372 PA for COL, with 12 HR and 11 SB in 93 games after his contract was selected Jun 9. Taken in just 16 of 674 drafts at ADP rank 637, he finished 189th of 1472 overall in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 139th of 660 hitters and 15th of 70 center fielders. His .352 wOBA ran 36 points above his .316 xwOBA over 372 PA, and he closed with a big Sep at .327 over 98 AB after cratering to .210 over 100 AB in Aug. The TDK LABS card tracked that swing the whole way: a debut triple and speed on display right after his call-up in mid Jun, a hot post-ASB run by early Aug that it flagged as possibly overstated given the underlying contact, and by late Sep it was describing the power surge as riding a stretch of contact that outran the underlying quality.
