His contract was selected Mar 31, he was optioned Apr 1, then recalled May 17 and stayed up until a left wrist tendon inflammation sent him to the 10-day IL Aug 14; he was transferred to the 60-day IL Aug 31 with no activation on record through Sep 27, missing 44 regular-season days. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 443, he finished 1064th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 621 spots below his ADP rank, and 45th of 61 shortstops. The TDK LABS card called him a top-tier shortstop prospect up for his debut in late May, but by Jun 9 it had him day-to-day with his availability in question, and by late Sep it had him on the extended injured list.
