Connor Seabold was a journeyman reliever whose SwStr% never backed up the results: his 7.6 SwStr% over 476 pitches was the 32nd lowest of 517 pitchers with 100+ BF, and he closed at a 5.25 ERA and 1.71 WHIP in 24.0 IP with a 17.4 K% and a 9.6 BB% over 115 BF across 21 games for DET, TOR and KCR. He signed a minor league contract with TOR on Jan 21, then signed as a free agent with DET on Mar 23, moved from DET to TOR and then from TOR to KCR as the season went on, and was designated for assignment by DET on May 24 and then by TOR on Jun 10. A left ankle inflammation put him on DET's 15-day IL Apr 26, with rehab assignments May 8 and May 12 before his May 15 activation, missing 19 days there; he was better before that stint, a 4.09 ERA in 11.0 IP against a 6.23 ERA in 13.0 IP after. A right lat strain then sent him to KCR's 15-day IL Jul 1, transferred to the 60-day IL Aug 3, with a rehab assignment Sep 10 and no activation on record through Sep 27, missing 107 regular-season days in 2 stints overall. His 5.25 ERA in 24.0 IP ran 1.24 above his 4.01 xERA over 113 BF. Undrafted in NFBC drafts, he finished 957th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 620th of 811 pitchers and 480th of 575 relievers.
