2026 review

Dedniel Núñez opened the year on the 60-day injured list recovering from Tommy John surgery, missing 132 regular-season days before he was activated Aug 4 after rehab assignments running from Jun 25 through Jul 19. Back with NYM, he threw 18 games in relief, a 3.32 ERA and 0.89 WHIP in 19.0 IP, a 27.8 K% and a 0.0 BB% over 72 BF, picking up 1 save, 5 holds and 1 blown save. Undrafted in NFBC drafts, he finished 393rd of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 164th of 811 pitchers and 105th of 575 relievers. The TDK LABS card had him working back into a crowded bullpen in early Aug, then by mid-Sep noted he had lost the closer role after a brief tenure there, and by late Sep it had him as a high-leverage arm in a committee, picking up a recent save with the role still not formally settled.
