Derek HillCHW · PHI · OF

2026 review

Derek Hill was a part-time outfielder who got more thump than certainty: 117 games and 47 starts, .241/.291/.442 with 48 H, 11 HR, and 13 SB over 199 AB, a 31.9 K% and a 6.0 BB% over 216 PA. He played for CHW through Jun 10 and then PHI starting Jun 13. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 679, taken in 4 of 674 drafts, he finished 420th of 1472 overall in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank and 29th of 70 center fielders. His .319 wOBA ran 30 points above his .289 xwOBA over 216 PA. The TDK LABS card tracked him as bench depth only in early May, built on a pinch-hit homer and a spot start, then noted limited opportunity once he landed with his new team in late Jun; by mid-Sep it called him a hot hand off the bench with metrics running ahead of the surface line, and by Sep 27 it still had him barely in the mix with the underlying contact trailing the results.
