Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 215, he finished 91st of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, 124 spots above his ADP rank, and 6th of 103 catchers. He hit right-handers much better than left-handers, .259/.320/.500 over 417 PA against right-handed pitchers and .208/.263/.329 over 190 PA against left-handers, and his month-to-month split showed the same swing, .333 over 105 AB in Jun against just .173 over 104 AB in Aug. The TDK LABS card tracked the power across the year: an early May homer fueled a power-surge read, by late Jul it called him a genuine breakout leading his position in RBI, and by mid Sep it read him as an elite-tier catcher working through a cold stretch that had him rested for the finale.
