DL Hall was a power reliever who missed the strike zone as often as he missed bats: his 14.5 BB% over 241 BF was the 24th highest of 517 pitchers with 100+ BF, but a 26.6 K% backed a 1.91 ERA and 1.04 WHIP in 61.1 IP across 47 games and 1 GS for MIL, with 29 H, 13 R, 13 ER, 5 HR, 4 W, 6 HLD and 1 BS. A left pectoral strain put him on the 15-day IL Jun 5, and after rehab assignments Jul 19, Jul 22 and Jul 29 he was activated Jul 31, missing 56 regular-season days; his ERA ran 2.03 in 31.0 IP before that stint and 1.78 in 30.1 IP after. His sinker climbed from 94.9 mph Mar-Jun (203 pitches) to 96.3 mph Jul-Sep (159 pitches). His 1.91 ERA ran 1.51 below his 3.42 xERA over 241 BF. By early May the TDK LABS card had him sliding into more high-leverage work as a top MIL reliever, and by late Sep it had him running well ahead of his underlying rate marks in high leverage. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 1109, he finished 243rd of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank and 42nd of 575 relief pitchers.
