2026 review

Drew Anderson was a Detroit swingman who missed bats, but he gave back a fair number of free passes: a 3.67 ERA and 1.27 WHIP in 108.0 IP for DET across 49 games and 11 GS, with a 25.0 K% and 9.4 BB% over 456 BF, 114 SO, 5 W, 7 L, 2 SV and 6 HLD. The big change came Aug 5, when he moved from the bullpen to the rotation, and the run prevention improved with the switch, a 2.84 ERA in 44.1 IP as a starter against a 4.24 ERA in 63.2 IP as a reliever. Drafted at NFBC ADP rank 1181, he finished 468th of 1472 in the TDK LABS 5x5 value rank, and 149th of 575 relievers. The TDK LABS card tracked the same turns: in early May it had him as a rotation candidate, by late Jul it had him in a ninth-inning committee, and by early Sep it was pointing at his short-stint form.
